The history of Siamese twins

The earliest case when two Siamese twins were born happened in 945. They were the brothers from Armenia and were brought to Constantinople for medical help. Twins were sisters with the joined backs. This is the first detailed and registered case of the birth of such children.

Another known fact about the birth of Siamese twins was twins from Scotland that had two heads and one body. Another example is twins from Hungary that succeeded in music before they were put to convent.

There are a lot of Siamese twins that succeeded and became famous all over the world. The twins that gave the denomination to all twins that have joined parts of the body are known all over the world. Other famous Siamese twins are two girls that were born slaves and were sold to the show-man. Then they travelled all over the world because show-men stole them and sold them until they finally were returned to their mother. And the first Show-man who bough the girl gave them good education. Girls spoke 5 languages, played the piano and sang well. And they became famous giving shows in circus. And in the beginning of 20th century they died with the period of 17 hours from tuberculosis.

Tocci twins were described in the story of Mark Twain "Those Extraordinary Twins". These twin-brothers had two legs, two heads, four arms and one body. From childhood parents made them perform, but they didn't like it. Brothers never learned walking as every head was ruling one leg.
